Miki Abraham: Goin’ for the Glee!

alt text

If you love Glee and you love Paducah musician and all-around great gal McKynleigh Abraham (and who doesn’t?), then you’ll want to tune into The Glee Project starting Sunday, June 12! Miki’s competing for a seven-episode guest starring role on Glee! For reals!

alt textMiki was one of just 12 – 12!! – selected from 40,000 competitors vying to compete on The Glee Project, which will air on the Oxygen channel at 8 p.m. Central time. The series follows the competition, each week narrowing down the contestants through intensive rounds of workshops, singing, dancing and acting. In fact, Miki will be in New York the week of the premiere, and she and the other 11 will be featured on The Today Show.

Paducah folks are well-acquainted with Miki’s amazing talent. She won her first talent contest at the ripe old age of 3, and played the role of Annie at Market House Theatre when she was just 7. Since then, she’s been involved in more than 100 community productions.

Now 19, Miki is an active songwriter/performer, and has won numerous talent competitions with her music, choreography and dance. She recently took first place in the Adult Division of the Kentucky Opry Talent Search, and she performed at the Mint Julep at the Palace Theatre, opening for Jordan Sparks.

Here’s a peek at her Glee interview:

And performing Fireworks, with the rest of her competitors. She’s the cutest one, in green:

And darling photos!

Good luck, Miki! We’re all rooting for you!
