The Band Perry received a CMA nomination for 2010 Vocal Group of the Year. The nomination is quite a feat for the young band, which released their debut album in October 2010. The competition for the award is tough and includes hit recording artists Rascal Flats and Little Big Town.
The Band Perry is also up for three 2010 American Country Award Nominations including Duo/ Group of the Year, New Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Video By New Breakthrough Artist for If I Die Young.
Country’s hottest new act sold more than 52,000 albums in the first three weeks of the release of their self-titled debut album and entered the Billboard Country Chart at No. 2, making it the second highest country album debut of the year. The band also laid claim to the highest album debut of any new country music group since 2006. Even more amazing, they debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 ALL GENRE Chart. Their current single, If I Die Young, is No. 10 on the Billboard and Media base Country Charts and No. 2 on the overall iTunes Digital Tracks Chart.
In addition to all these honors and accolades, liking this band’s music is something that both parents and kids agree on! I’m a fan myself, and both my teenagers give them two texting thumbs up! Get your tix now and make Christmas morning harmonious for your and yours!
