All-Breed Dog Show Hot, Hot, Hot Highlights!
Hot Hot Hot, no doubt about it!
With heat indeces somewhere in the vicinity that would bake a chicken — feathers and all — it was a hot time at the Paducah Kennel Club for their annual AKC All Breed Dog Show. But thanks to the show’s awesome sponsor, (the best bank in the world) Paducah Bank, the exhibitors kept their cool. The Wow Wagon showed up on Saturday and handed out free ice cream to everyone!
There was a blessed breeze and dog show folks know all kinds of tricks to keep their pooches cool: ice mats, battery fans, cool down cloths and spray bottles. The members of the Kennel Club have planted over 350 trees on the property over the years. The trees are finally tall enough to provide significant shade, which helped as well.
Commissioner Gayle Kaler showed some serious cool when she welcomed folks to Paducah and joined judge Walter Sommerfield has he presented Saturday’s Best In Show ribbon to the tiny Pomeranian. The little dog beat a lovely entry of some mearly 600 dogs to be the best.
Next weekend’s Agility Trial will be in the lovely AIR CONDITIONED SportsPlex.
