Dog Fair and Agility Trials
Hey, iPet of the Week fans, I’ve got a couple of dates for you to mark on your calendars. First is Saturday, September 12. That’s the date of the Paducah Kennel Club’s second ever Annual Dog Fair, in conjunction with the American Kennel Club’s Responsible Dog Ownership Celebrations all over this grand land.
Bring your non-aggressive dogs for a day of fun for both of you. There will be way cool activities and demonstrations and opportunities, such as (but not limited to):
A discounted microchip/tag clinic (the best way to protect your dog).- Herding demos – Watch champion dogs herd ducks — way more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
- Retrieving demos – Watch the famous and amazing Hunting Champions of Lodi Kennels do their thing.
- Fabulous bargains at our Doggy Yard Sale.
- Goodie Bags — get one simply for coming by.
- Canine Good Citizen or Therapy Dog International certification for your dogs.
- Stupefying Police Dog and Search and Rescue Dog demos.
- Professional pet portrait photographs, taken at a nice discount.
- Dog Agility demos (you know, the see saw, weave poles, jumps, tunnels, A-frame) and see about signing your dog up for lessons.
- Dog Obedience demonstrations, and check out learning opportunities.
- A practice Dog Show, and you can win prizes in our Pet Parade.
Find directions to the Paducah Kennel Club’s gorgeous property and watch for updates on the blog.
The next date that you won’t want to miss is the Paducah Kennel Club’s Fall Agility Trials. They’re held October 22, 23, 24 and 25 at the Paducah Regional SportsPlex on Highway 60 out past the mall. Yes, due to popular demand, this fantastic event has expanded to a four-day trial!
The June Agility Trial was so enjoyed by the public! You do not want to miss this. Dogs and handlers will be coming to Paducah from as far away as Wisconsin and Florida to compete for World Cup slots and for Championships. You can get up close and personal and talk to the competitors.
See you at the Dog Fair!
