Randi Tubster Hahn

You’ve met our featured iDate of the Week, the gorgeous Alison Hahn. To win her heart, you’ll have to go through Randi, her full-bred American Bulldog! Don’t worry though, they’re both beautiful and very sweet!

Tell us about Randi!
She’s a full-bred American Bulldog, and she just turned 3 in November.

alt textHow did you get her?
My boyfriend (at the time) and I wanted to get a puppy together and we researched on-line for breeders. I worked that holiday at a kennel where we had 45 kennels that each held one to three dogs. I’ve never seen so many different breeds in my life! The bulldogs and bulldog mixes had the best personalities — they were very playful and good-natured. We decided on an American bulldog puppy over an English one because the American breed is much healthier and athletic.

What do you love best about her?
She wears her heart on her, ummm, collar?

What’s the most challenging part of owning a dog?
Randi loves people and loves to be outdoors and playing. Sometimes I think she needs more of these two things.

alt textHow has she changed your life?
Owning a dog has improved my time management skills. I’d probably be a workaholic if I weren’t worried about meeting her needs as well.

How does she like Paducah?
She adapted faster than I did! She loves the river!

What’s your best pet advice?
Having a well-behaved animal is not luck. Spend time with your animals and let them know what you expect of them.
