That Was One Heck of a Brawl, Y'all!

We had roadies, groupies, near-perfect weather (minus a sprinkle here and there), Chuck Tate as a very funny emcee, DJ Urban Kobbb throwing down tracks between sets, a blown-away panel of judges and, best of all, the six hottest bands we could find. And they were hot, hot, hot, no doubt about it!

Many thanks to everyone for coming to the DJ Urban Kobbb Lowertown Band Brawl – and to the amazing bands for their amazing performances.

Here's a recap, with the top three winners highlighted in red. They'll play during the Lowertown Art and Music Festival, 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 25 battling again for cash prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250. Click the photos to enlarge!
ONE OF THREE WINNERS
The American Freedom Machine
Kyle "Tennessee" Dodge, guitar, vocals
Brent Lehr, bass, vocals
Kirk Mattingly, guitar, vocals
Catherine Parman, drums

These four super hotties of the American Freedom Machine made a worthwhile trip from Louisville – their first visit to Paducah. Clad in a white leisure suit and patriotic tie, Tennessee got the show off to a great start with their rockabilly tunes. The band will go on to compete in the Lowertown Art and Music Festival, Sunday, May 25. Congratulations! Email the band for your next event!

Edging Kelli
Tyler Hayden, drums
Luk Nichols, rhythm guitar
Ethan Reddick, bass guitar
Kalimb Wilson, guitar
Derek Yarbrough, lead guitar

Imagine going to prom with a member from this band! Yep, Edging Kelli had to play early on so that the nattily dressed fellas could whisk their gorgeous prom dates away to the Carlisle County High School prom! Tons of prom-destined friends gathered for the show, with a big ol' Humvee limo pulling up right at the end to take them away for their official prom pix! Edging Kelli put on a great show. Email the band for your next event!

Please Standby
Zaq Kickasola, lead guitar, vocals
Jacob Boyd, bass, vocals
Jesse Sutton, rhythm guitar
Austin Jarboe, drums

These Please Standby guys are hot and are only going to get hotter! Lucky for us the drummer got ungrounded so they could play. Their energy was amazing, and that Zaq Kickasola with his crazy red hair was running around all over the place. Best of all: their devoted fabulously beautiful girl groupies sang and danced throughout the show. Email the band for your next event!

NoaZark
Breathitt Kelley, guitar, vocals and keyboard
Noah Kelley, drums

Cute, cute, cute – no doubt about it! Breathitt Kelley and son Noah are NoaZark and are dar-ling! And excellent musicians! Noah has played drums since the tender age of 6 months, and performing for large crowds since he as 4. Breathitt teaches music in Mayfield. Email the band for your next event!

ONE OF THREE WINNERS
The Union Suit
Jerry Davis, guitar
Cory Greene, bass
Jason Griffith, drums
Dan Tanner, guitar

The Union Suit lists their influences as the weather, death and taxes. Well, the weather was near-perfect and apparently nobody around them has died or paid taxes in a while. These guys rocked the crowd with energy, enthusiasm and originality.  The only thing better than their looks were their hooks. The Union Suit moves on to the Lowertown Art and Music Festival, performing Sunday, May 25. Email the band for your next event!

ONE OF THREE WINNERS
Special D
Craig Felker, vocals
Jason Killebrew, drums
LJ Granstaff, guitar
Joel Purdy, bass

The Special D hotties outdid themselves, ending the concert on an energetic, feel-good note. The quick rain shower did nothing to dampen these guys. And there's just no doubting it – they're sexy. That Craig Felker moves around like Mick Jagger. Special D moves on to the Lowertown Art and Music Festival, performing Sunday, May 25. Email the band for your next event!
